White Cattleya Orchids: Cattleya (KAT-lee-ah) orchids are “air plants” with large, fleshy roots. Because of their sweet fragrance and fluffy edges, they are best known as corsage orchid and show up on many a prom dress. In this painting, the roots grow over the top of the pot and make me think that somewhere a prom queen is having a bad hair day.
Find the Ladybug: Folklore says that a person’s wish is granted if a ladybug lands on them. Also, tradition says that if you capture a ladybug; make a wish, and then "blow it away" back home your wish will come true. Somewhere in all my flower paintings you will find your ladybug.

David Michael Arrigoni is a prolific painter whose work reflects the influence of a lifelong dedication to the study of art. He hails from a linage of talented artists who were known for their skill in the Italian painting style across Lucca Italy and near Florence early in the 20th century. David’s own talents were recognized at a young age. Early in life he began to learn the nuances of artistic expression from his father, Eduardo Angelo Arrigoni.
