Artist Domenico Ghirlandaio painted this profile portrait of Giovanna degli Albizzi Tornabuoni in 1488. It was painted using tempera on wood panel. The original is approximately 20” x 30” (76 cm x 50 cm). It is undoubtedly one of the finest portrait paintings of fifteenth century Renaissance Italy.

He hails from a linage of talented artists who were known for their skill in the Italian painting style across Lucca Italy and near Florence early in the 20th century. David’s own talents were recognized at a young age. Early in life he began to learn the nuances of artistic expression from his father, Eduardo Angelo Arrigoni. As a boy David spent many hours fascinated by the works he discovered in the fine art museums near his home in San Francisco.
